Dharamshala: Interfaith spiritualist and author Anand Krishna on Monday offered a 2.5 meter-high stone statue of Buddha to His Holiness the Dalai Lama as a token of spiritual and cultural ties between the peoples of Indonesia and Tibet. China slashes travel and hotel costs to revive tourism in Tibet


In an attempt to revive tourist flow into the Himalayan region, China heavily slashed travel and hotel costs in Tibet today. The Himalayan region had recorded a drastic drop of visitors in 2008 because of huge unrest and rioting, said a PTI report.
