From the Political Insider: The Georgia Democratic party is $142,000 in debt, and has $75,059 in cash on hand, according to a financial statement just filed. Even so, last Wednesday, Democrats put $40,000 on some floor space at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. We’re assuming, of course, that this is related to the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.
